THE DREAM LIVES ON HIS BIRTHDAY

There are people who have the audacity to say that the struggle for civil rights for black Americans - with the unique history that goes with centuries of slavery, another century of abuse and segregation, and still rampant poverty, disproportionate imprisonment in a nation holding two million in prisons, and those day-to-day slights that are still anything but rare....the struggle goes on. We don't need to pause and remember this speech. We need to carry on the work. All of us.
